Club Mission
The primary purpose of BUC-MRU is to provide an environment where students can grow in their faith through the four central pillars of the Christian life: Prayer, Worship, Fellowship, and Discipleship. We aim to cultivate a theologically rich community that is rooted in Christian studies and scripture-based discussions, encouraging both philosophical and apologetics based reflection and practical application.
Club Description
While there are numerous Christian clubs in Mount Royal University with various focuses, our club will center around key principles that we feel are often underexplored. One of the primary goals of our club will be to foster a deep theological understanding, which we aim to achieve by organizing thorough Bible studies that emphasize theological depth and reformed perspectives. Additionally, we will promote leadership and spiritual development, with an emphasis on nurturing spiritual maturity to guide Bible studies. To achieve this, we will offer leadership training activities rooted in biblical teachings. Furthermore, we will actively participate in intellectual evangelism and open dialogue by hosting table events that facilitate meaningful, one-on-one conversations with students from diverse faith backgrounds. Additionally, we will encourage both personal and communal worship as a means to honor God and build unity among members. Finally, we will prepare and empower students in the area of apologetics by teaching them the intellectual underpinnings of the Christian faith.
