Club Mission
The purpose of BrownTown MRU is to celebrate and promote South Asian culture through vibrant dance, music, and community events. The club provides a welcoming space for students to connect, express themselves, and share traditions by organizing cultural performances like Bhangra, Bollywood, Giddha, and celebrating major festivals such as Diwali, Holi, Vaisakhi, and Eid, along with fun social events like Bollywood nights and themed parties.
Club Description
BrownTown MRU will host dance workshops, cultural showcases, festival celebrations, open-mic nights, and social gatherings to engage students from all backgrounds. The club will also collaborate with other cultural and student groups on campus to promote inclusivity and cross-cultural understanding. Through consistent participation, volunteer opportunities, and creative events, members will gain leadership experience, teamwork skills, and cultural awareness.
