Club Mission
The East African Link Club exists to provide a supportive and welcoming community for students at Mount Royal University to learn about, celebrate, and engage with East African culture through discussions, and collaborative initiatives. Whether you’re from East Africa or simply want to experience something new, this is your place to make new friends and connect across cultures through music, food, conversations, and community events. It serves as a space where members can build lasting friendships while developing leadership skills and contributing to positive change both on campus and beyond.
Club Description
The East African Link Club gives students opportunities to celebrate and embrace East African heritage while deepening their knowledge and appreciation of diverse cultures. Through cultural events, debate nights, etc. Members will learn, share, and represent their communities with pride. The club is also committed to giving back and organizing fundraisers to support those in need and creating spaces that foster compassion and solidarity.
We hope the East African Club builds community and pride among members, promotes cultural understanding on campus, and inspires positive impact beyond Mount Royal university.
