Club Mission

The Energy & Innovation Club at MRU brings together business, supply chain, and technology students to tackle real challenges in oil & gas and the future of energy. We combine business strategy, management, and marketing with data, tech, and hands-on projects to create practical solutions. By working with industry professionals, members gain valuable skills, insights, and connections while contributing to the future of Canada’s energy sector.

Club Description

The Energy & Innovation Club operates by bringing together business, supply chain, and technology students to collaborate on real-world projects and case challenges in the energy sector. Members work in cross-disciplinary teams, where business students focus on strategy and consulting, tech students handle coding and data analysis, and supply chain students test feasibility and logistics.

Through this model, the club helps members gain career-ready skills in consulting, marketing, coding, analytics, and operations while creating practical solutions for industry and campus challenges.

Key Activities & Initiatives:
Workshops & Training: Skill-building sessions in consulting, Excel, coding, data visualization, and project management.
Case Competitions & Innovation Challenges: Opportunities to apply knowledge to real problems in oil & gas, renewables, and sustainability.
Industry Engagement: Networking nights, mentorship programs, and guest speaker panels with professionals from the energy and technology sectors.
Hands-on Projects: Student-led initiatives that tackle campus sustainability or energy-related issues with real impact.

The Club’s impact is twofold: empowering students with relevant skills and networks to excel in their careers, and contributing fresh ideas to Canada’s energy and innovation landscape.
