Club Mission
The MRU Yoga Club exists to provide students an alternative form of exercise that promotes physical well-being, emotional balance, and meaningful connection. Through regular practice, we aim to relieve stress and anxiety from academic demands (whether heavy or light) while fostering a supportive community and encouraging deeper self-awareness all while having fun.
Club Description
The MRU Yoga Club will provide alternate yoga classes and activates (crafts and/or hikes, activities, and other) that encourage movement, friendship, and relaxation, along with going off site to different yoga studios with different class types. We will offer weekly yoga classes changing the style of yoga, along with monthly special events like workshops, guest speakers, or sound baths…etc. We can also provide activities like yoga challenges (7-day) volunteer classes, and even mindfulness hikes/walks. I hope to impact people’s lives by helping them discover more about their mind and body’s limits, improving physical and mental health of the members and of course to have fun. I hope the club will help the campus grow making connections and discovering new things about themselves while promoting inclusivity. Just as many other yoga studios have done, I want to bring many different styles of yoga to people who are interested no matter their body type. (yoga doesn’t depend on body type or flexibility)
