Club Mission

The Palestinian Cultural Club (PCC) exists to celebrate, preserve, and share the richness of Palestinian and Middle Eastern culture with the Mount Royal University community. Our mission is to create an inclusive and welcoming space where students of all ethnicities, religions, and backgrounds can come together to explore art, music, cuisine, fashion, and language through interactive cultural experiences.

PCC’s goal is to promote cultural appreciation and understanding by showcasing traditions that highlight creativity, community, and resilience. Through events such as tatreez (embroidery) nights, cultural galas, food tastings, art exhibits, and language workshops, the club aims to foster meaningful cross-cultural connections and celebrate diversity on campus.

PCC is focused solely on cultural education and artistic expression, providing SAMRU members with opportunities for connection, creativity, and cultural exchange in a welcoming, collaborative environment.

Club Description

The Palestinian Cultural Club (PCC) operates through creative, inclusive, and interactive programming that highlights Palestinian and Middle Eastern heritage. The club organizes events such as tatreez (embroidery) workshops, cultural galas, language and calligraphy nights, food tasting events, and collaborative showcases with other student groups. These activities allow members to experience culture through art, music, cuisine, and tradition in a welcoming environment.

PCC works to accomplish its mission by fostering community connection and cultural appreciation across campus. The club encourages dialogue, learning, and participation from students of all backgrounds — not just those of Palestinian or Middle Eastern descent — to promote unity through diversity.

Our impact extends beyond cultural celebration: PCC hopes to inspire students to appreciate different traditions, form meaningful friendships, and help create a more inclusive and culturally aware MRU community.
