Club Mission

The MRU History Collective exists to provide a safe collaborative environment for students who have an interest in history, specifically registered in a major or minor in history at MRU. To propose open discussions and activities to meet, collaborate and share experiences/ideas. To promote historical inquiry, discussion, and engagement through events, lectures, workshops, and collaborative research projects.

Club Description

The MRU History Collective will hold events that are engaging and insightful for students’ future experiences and career; collective aims to connect students with academic and public history resources, encourage critical thinking about the past and its relevance today, and provide a platform for student-led historical initiatives. Welcoming space for history students to meet, collaborate and have fun. Open to all students registered in a major/minor in history, the collective supports interdisciplinary collaboration and seeks to create an accessible space for learning, dialogue, and historical exploration.
