Aviation Student Executive

Club Mission

The Aviation Student Executive are the student representatives for the Mount Royal University Aviation Diploma and Degree Program. We hold meetings to discuss a variety of events, such as student activities, aviation merch, and fundraising. Our goal is to fund and organize the Aviation graduation ceremony at the end of the year with the help of fundraising events and members of the aviation industry. Our events consist of partnerships with many members of the aviation community to enable students to enrich their connection and understanding of the aviation industry. We additionally hold casual activities for students to make friends within the program.

Believers United in Christ

Club Mission

The primary purpose of BUC-MRU is to provide an environment where students can grow in their faith through the four central pillars of the Christian life: Prayer, Worship, Fellowship, and Discipleship. We aim to cultivate a theologically rich community that is rooted in Christian studies and scripture-based discussions, encouraging both philosophical and apologetics based reflection and practical application.

To promote the Bissett School of Business and the Bachelor of Business Administration-Accounting major and Accounting Co-op majors to accounting professionals and the community at large. Club Mission

The purpose of BrownTown MRU is to celebrate and promote South Asian culture through vibrant dance, music, and community events. The club provides a welcoming space for students to connect, express themselves, and share traditions by organizing cultural performances like Bhangra, Bollywood, Giddha, and celebrating major festivals such as Diwali, Holi, Vaisakhi, and Eid, along with fun social events like Bollywood nights and themed parties.

Joli Fou Geological Society

Club Mission

The objectives of the Society are:
-To act in any manner deemed to be beneficial to the members of the Society;
-To promote professional relationships, especially through cooperation with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta and with other professional geology institutes and societies.
-To sponsor and maintain extracurricular programs including academic, social, and athletic functions, of which Society members may participate in;
-To represent the Bachelor of Science Geology Major students within the campus, to other universities, and to the community at large;
-To hold meetings, exhibitions, competitions and conferences for the discussion of geology problems and the exchange of views in matters related to geology;
-To establish, construct, and maintain suitable quarters for the Society, and to permit the quarters to be used, on terms to be agreed upon by the board of directors;
-To establish and support or aid in the establishment of funds or trusts calculated to benefit the members of the Society; and
-To acquire, take by gift, devise, bequest and donate, and to support or enter into arrangements which may be conducive to the attainment or furtherance of any of the objectives of the Society, and for no other objectives.

MRU Jump Rope Club exists to provide an opportunity for students to come together and learn new tricks and work on their fitness in a fun and friendly community. Students will be able to learn individual and team-oriented skills such as single rope and double dutch. Both recreationally, and at collegiate competitions.

The MRU Ski & Snowboard Club was founded in 2013 by 5 awesome friends. They came together to help start building a community that would change the MRU campus for the better. Since then, we pride ourselves on building a fun and inviting community that everyone feels apart of.

The MRU Sociology Club aims to provide a space for students enrolled in the BA Sociology program to network with other BA Sociology students. A benefit that SAMRU members will get from joining our club is a sense of community, fun, friends, and a chance to win a Tim Horton’s gift card if they win a game that we host etc.

Guided by ethics and faith-inspired values, we work to create a campus where every student feels safe, heard, and supported—especially those impacted by the ongoing crisis. Our mission is to provide inclusive opportunities for learning, dialogue, and action, while fostering mental well-being and a sense of solidarity. Palestine Cultural Club

The Palestinian Cultural Club (PCC) exists to celebrate, preserve, and share the richness of Palestinian and Middle Eastern culture with the Mount Royal University community. Our mission is to create an inclusive and welcoming space where students of all ethnicities, religions, and backgrounds can come together to explore art, music, cuisine, fashion, and language through interactive cultural experiences.

PCC’s goal is to promote cultural appreciation and understanding by showcasing traditions that highlight creativity, community, and resilience. Through events such as tatreez (embroidery) nights, cultural galas, food tastings, art exhibits, and language workshops, the club aims to foster meaningful cross-cultural connections and celebrate diversity on campus.

PCC is focused solely on cultural education and artistic expression, providing SAMRU members with opportunities for connection, creativity, and cultural exchange in a welcoming, collaborative environment.

Policy Studies Student Society

The Policy Studies Students’ Society was founded on and will be guided in its policy formation by providing opportunities and community for Policy Studies students.

Power to Change

Club Mission

To provide a framework in which Christianity can be presented to the campus community and further investigated by both those interested and those committed to Jesus Christ. In fulfilling this purpose we will:

Offer presentations, forums, lectures, debates, seminars, videos, etc which stimulate and facilitate students to consider questions such as: Does God exist? Can science be reconciled to God? Can I be both successful and happy? How can I know God personally?

Provide opportunities for interested students to discuss the Christian response to these questions. We welcome discussion from all students whether they are atheist, agnostic, Christian, or of any other religious belief.

Emphasize the responsibility and privilege of every Christian to effectively, respectfully, and lovingly communicate with others his or her personal faith in Jesus Christ.
