Through events such as Qawwali nights, Shayaari evenings, dance workshops, music sessions, cultural celebrations, games, and other interactive experiences, Bollyverse MRU aims to enrich campus life and foster a strong sense of belonging among students. Bollyverse MRU welcomes students of all cultural backgrounds, recognizing that South Asian culture is best celebrated through inclusivity, shared experiences, and mutual respect. The club seeks to build meaningful friendships, encourage cross-cultural understanding, and create memorable experiences that contribute positively to the Mount Royal University community.

BookBabes Book Club is a romance book focused book club for all the romance readers at MRU. We read romantic fantasy, dark romance and all other genre’s within romance. We host monthly events to discuss our book of the month where we have everyone get together for some fun activities, food and bookish conversations.

The primary purpose of the Community Leaders Club is to create an encouraging, engaging and supportive community that allows both members and executives opportunities to become leaders in their community.

The Game Design and Development Club exists to provide a community for students to discuss, design, and develop video or board games.

The Jazz Club exists to provide SAMRU members with the opportunity to learn about jazz history and sound through performance, either as a musician or audience.

Our mission is to bring together students who share a love for birds and the natural world. Through bird watching, and educational activities, we aim to build appreciation for wildlife and the habitats that sustain them. We want to spread awareness of conservation efforts, encourage care for our environment, and create a welcoming space where people can connect over a shared passion for nature.

The MRU Drama Club exists to provide a space to foster and explore all things theatre i.e characterization, script work, Improvisation, Musical theatre, technical theatre, costumes, backstage, and more within the MRU community.

The MRU Fandom Club provides a space for individuals to gather and express their interests in various media. The club invites people who are part of any subculture, such as those related to fictional series (movies, anime, video games, books), sports, music, and more.

Fit & Connect aims to create an inclusive community where MRU students can stay active, build friendships, and form meaningful connections through fitness, recreation, and physical activity. The club helps students meet people from different programs and years of study, find activity partners with similar interests, and feel more comfortable being active in a supportive, beginner-friendly environment. Our focus is on participation, enjoyment, consistency, and connection rather than competition.

The MRU Gaming Club exists to provide a welcoming and positive environment for new and experienced gamers. Our goal is to offer a space where people can connect with individuals of similar interests and make new lifelong friends.

The MRU Hike Club provides Mount Royal University students with an inclusive and welcoming community centered around hiking, outdoor recreation, exploration, and personal growth. The Club creates opportunities for students of all experience levels to participate in outdoor activities, develop hiking and outdoor skills, meet new people, and build friendships in a supportive group environment. The Club aims to make hiking more accessible to students by providing opportunities to learn fundamental hiking skills, practice responsible outdoor recreation, and gain confidence and experience. Through organized hikes, outdoor events, education, and mentorship, the Club promotes community, inclusivity, safety, learning, environmental responsibility, respect, and leadership.

MRU Jump Rope Club exists to provide an opportunity for students to come together and learn new tricks and work on their fitness in a fun and friendly community. Students will be able to learn individual and team-oriented skills such as single rope and double dutch. Both recreationally, and at collegiate competitions if desired.

The MRU Music Club exists to provide a space for musicians on campus to come together and share their experience and further their skills.

The MRU Ski & Snowboard Club was founded in 2013 by 5 awesome friends. They came together to help start building a community that would change the MRU campus for the better. Since then, we pride ourselves on building a fun and inviting community that everyone feels apart of. The MRU Ski Club is based on 4 major pillars: Making Friendships, Having Fun, Leaving a Legacy, and Building a Community. Through these four pillars, our VISION was born: “To bring our community together through the creation of awesome social events and ski events available for everyone.

The MRU Smash Club exists to connect individuals who are interested and actively involved in the Super Smash Bros. video game community

The purpose of the MRU Sociology Club is to provide a space for all sociology students to get together and hangout. Our club is super fun and we host lots of game nights! The MRU Sociology Club aims to provide a space for students enrolled in the BA Sociology program to network with other BA Sociology students. A benefit that SAMRU members will get from joining our club is a sense of community, fun, friends, and a chance to win a Tim Horton’s gift card if they win a game that we host etc.

The MRU Write Club exists to advocate for the local literary writing and arts. Write Club is dedicated to fostering a nurturing community for the literary arts and is open to any writer. By creating a safe space that celebrates the voices of all, Write Club is here to give a place for writers to hone their craft and form meaningful relationships.

The MRU Yoga Club exists to provide students an alternative form of exercise that promotes physical well-being, emotional balance, and meaningful connection. Through regular practice, we aim to relieve stress and anxiety from academic demands (whether heavy or light) while fostering a supportive community and encouraging deeper self-awareness all while having fun.

The Psychology Student Society (PSS) strives to foster a community where all paths of psychology can be explored with the respect and aid of its peers

Rodeo Room is a non-profit, student-run country dance club at Mount Royal University dedicated to building community through line dancing, country swing, music, and shared experiences. Our mission is to create an inclusive and welcoming environment where students and community members of all experience levels can learn, connect, and enjoy dance together. Provide accessible and welcoming weekly dance classes for individuals of all experience levels. Build a strong sense of community and belonging through dance and social connection. Encourage students to learn, grow, and develop their confidence and skills in line dancing and country swing. Share the love for western culture. Give back to the community through charity initiatives, fundraisers, volunteer opportunities, and community events. Represent Mount Royal University through our volunteer Performance Team at campus and community events. Create opportunities for our members to share their passion for dance by performing, teaching, and engaging with others. Promote the idea that dance is a universal language that brings people together and does not discriminate. Rodeo Room is guided by our belief that “At Rodeo Room, there is a seat for everyone.” Whether someone has been dancing for years or is stepping onto the dance floor for the first time, our goal is to ensure there is always a place for them within our community."
